FAQs

Are your ceramics durable?

Yes. Ceramics have different durability levels based on how hot they're fired — and I fire all of my creations HOT to 2300°F. At this temperature, the clay becomes fully vitrified (meaning it transforms into stone), making each piece extra-strong and built for daily use.

If you care for them well, these pieces could easily last hundreds of years.

Will my travel mug fit in my car cup holder?

Yes. I intentionally trim and taper the bottoms of my travel mugs to 2.25” wide, so they fit in standard car cup holders. I take mine with me everywhere…you can be sure the creator of your piece is also an avid user of it.

How do I wash it?

All of my pottery is dishwasher safe.

If you prefer to hand wash your travel mug or cup, I recommend using a handled scrub brush for easy, gentle cleaning. The smooth glaze also makes cleanup a breeze.

Does it get too hot to hold?

Only if you pour straight boiling water into it. If you add cream or milk this won’t matter, but if not, I recommend waiting about 5 minutes before handling if you're pouring freshly boiled water. It will then feel perfect in your hands and keep them cozy.

For lattes, matcha, espresso, cortados, and other drinkable-temperature beverages, it maintains a soothing warmth in your hands as it keeps the temperature even throughout — one of my favorite features about using handmade pottery.

Is your pottery nontoxic and food safe?

Yes — absolutely. All of my glazes are lead-free, food-safe, and nontoxic. I only use materials that are tested and safe for everyday food and beverage use.

Can I use it in the microwave?

Without gold: Yes — It heats evenly and beautifully. Just use care when removing it, as it may get warm.

With gold: No. All of my gold is premium quality 22k, and metal cannot go in a microwave.

Is it oven safe?

While the pieces are fired to withstand high temperatures, I generally recommend using them for microwave and dishwasher use rather than in a conventional oven, unless specifically noted. If you'd like something oven-safe (like a baking dish), feel free to reach out to be be put on the waiting list for a custom commission.

Are there slight variations in size and color?

Yes — and that’s part of the magic. Each piece is handmade, hand-glazed, and kiln-fired, so subtle variations in glaze texture, color, and shape are to be expected. No two are ever exactly alike, which makes your piece truly one of a kind.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — I ship worldwide. Shipping rates and delivery times vary based on location and will be calculated at checkout.

How do preorders and waitlists work?

I open small batches of custom orders twice a year, and occasionally offer preorder spots for new or limited-edition collections. Join the waitlist on my Custom Orders page to be the first to know when new spots open.

How do I get first access to new collections and preorders?

Join the club… My mailing list subscribers get early access to select collections, limited preorders, and exclusive custom order openings before I announce them publicly. It’s the best way to snag your favorites before they sell out.
